I am Dr. Jim Davidson and look forward to helping you care for your pet. I grew up on the family farm in Goodland, Indiana spending many hours on a tractor and caring for cattle, pigs, chickens and sheep. I attended Purdue University and received a Bachelor Degree in Animal Science in 1977 and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree in 1980. I accepted an associate veterinarian position at Tysons Corner Animal Hospital in Vienna, Virginia and assumed ownership in July 1981. After twenty years of solo practice, I hired an associate and cut back to 5 days a week. My wife Carole, and I moved to White Stone in 2004 after being introduced to the area by visiting her parents who moved to Irvington in 1987. I continued to return to Northern Virginia to care for patients Monday through Thursday, until I sold my practice in August of 2010 and worked for the new owners for one year. After being away from practice for 9 months, I was anxious to establish new relationships with pets and pet owners. I enjoy sharing my knowledge and 30 plus years of experience to emphasize preventive care and help pets live a happier and longer life in partnership with you – their care takers. I am happy to be in the Northern Neck full time and hope to add to the wonderful friends we have already made.
